Coaching Accreditation and License Achievements
During the month of November, several of our coaching staff from Hartland and North Oakland sites completed their LFC Coach Accreditation. The program emphasizes consistent coaching terminology, connection to LFC player role models, and implementation of proven LFC Academy methodologies, with a focus on holistic player development, culminating in on-field testing.
Also, congratulations to Ann Arbor Coach Ali Ouda on the completion of USSF D coaching license.
We appreciate our coaches and their commitment to improving their coaching abilities!
US Representative Team UK Tour 2024
We are so pleased to announce that players from Michigan will once again represent the club in the UK next summer. This once-in-a-lifetime opportunity brings together elite boys and girls U14 and U16 from Liverpool FC International Academies across the US for a very special trip abroad featuring specialized training The Liverpool Way at a week-long camp, plus local matches and unforgettable moments in England. The selection process will get underway in early 2024.
Reds Junior Academy & Mini Reds
Our Reds youth development program continues to grow, introducing young players to soccer through five- or six-week sessions offered at our Central, Ann Arbor, South Oakland and North Oakland sites.
Winter 1 sessions achieved record enrollment for Mini Reds (ages 4-6) and Reds Junior Academy (ages 6-11). Thanks to our fantastic coaching staff and supportive families, we hope to carry the momentum into the new year.
Winter 2 sessions start in January at most sites. If you have friends or family with children ages 4-11 interested in soccer, registrations are now open for more soccer fun and growth.

Reds Winter Camps
Looking for activities for the kids over the break, Reds Events will host Winter Soccer Camps for rec, select (club) and elite players ages 7-12. Open to players from any program or club, so invite friends and double the fun.
Check out multi-day camps during the December holiday break in Waterford, Ann Arbor, and South Oakland, plus MLK and Presidents’ Day camps in Pontiac, Waterford, and Ann Arbor.
There will be a “Girls Only” camp on Monday, January 15 at UWM Sports Complex with expert training and workshops on important topics in girls sports today to empower their journey.

Reds Futsal Academy
Central’s futsal season is in full swing with boys teams 2015-2009 and girls teams 2015-2007 actively training at the UWM Fieldhouse and participating in weekend tournaments now through March.
Hartland has also launched its inaugural futsal season after a successful tryout in early December. Teams begin six weeks of training in January and season will culminate with the Chocolate Milk Futsal Cup tournament in March.
Players are set to reap the rewards of futsal, enhancing their skills, agility, quickness, tactical mastery, and overall fitness. It’s a fast-paced, dynamic environment that fuels both individual growth and team excellence.
Boys College ID Combine
Our first boys recruiting event was a huge success with nearly 60 players and 20+ coaches. We appreciate the college men’s soccer programs staff who attended to lead training sessions and scout players during scrimmages. A College ID event for girls will be held in June 2024.
