NEW PLAYERS: Once you’ve completed THE USL YOUTH registration, return to this page to complete International Clearance (only if applicable).
Who needs International Clearance? If player was born outside of the US, regardless of their current citizenship, or they most recently played soccer for a club based outside of the US, and they have not previously received international clearance, please complete the International Clearance application at the link below.
If you have previously completed this process, you do NOT need to do it again. It is a lifetime clearance.
This International Clearance process can take weeks, so we urge you to make this a priority so that your child’s clearance is completed prior to any games. Your child will not be rostered without this clearance.
Questions about this process should be directed to ITC@michiganyouthsoccer.org.
2. League Documents and Waivers (Part 2 of 3)
In mid-March/April, you will receive an email from the USL Youth Administrator to complete the USL Youth League paperwork.
3. Uniforms (Part 3 of 3)
In April, you will receive an email from Soccer.com with directions to order and pay for uniforms. Please order as quickly as possible to ensure delivery in time for the beginning of the summer season.
Current LFC players who have the same number for the regular season and USL Youth only need to order the white jersey.
If your player does not play regular season with LFC, they need to purchase the white jersey, red jersey, red shorts, and red socks. All other items are optional. Goalies will need the goalkeeper kit.
The white jersey is required. The red kit can be found under “recommended items.”
**Jersey number preference is given to current LFC players. Your player may still be required to switch their number, even if they played in the previous season.**
