SCHOLARSHIPS FOR COLLEGE-BOUND CENTRAL PLAYERS

Liverpool FC Michigan's Central site is pleased to offer the following scholarship opportunities to its graduating seniors.  

If you are interested in applying for one or both scholarships, please review the application deadline and requirements, then complete the application at the link above.  

Applicants are not required to play soccer in college to be eligible for scholarship.

Application Deadline

Application and all required documents are due by: 

Girls: 11:59 pm on Friday, December 14, 2018.  

Boys: 11:59 pm on Monday, May 20, 2019.

Application Instructions

Review the criteria for scholarships below. We recommend first prepare your documents, then complete the online application.  You will be asked to upload these documents as part of the application process. 

Awards

A female winner will be announced at the Girls’ Teams & Senior Recognition Banquet in late January/early February.  

A male winner will be announced at the Boys’ Teams & Senior Recognition Banquet in Spring 2019.  

Liverpool FC Michigan will send scholarship monies to the bursar's office at the college or university selected by the winning recipient to be used in the 2019/20 school year.

Dan O’Shea Memorial Scholarship

In loving memory of our dear friend, colleague and former Force FC coach and administrator, Dan O’Shea, who died suddenly in 2017. Dan was very active in the soccer community and was well known for his broad smile and endearing personality. Dan touched many lives and inspired many people.

$1,000 to one male recipient  //  $1,000 to one female recipient

This scholarship will be awarded to two of the club’s graduating seniors (one male and one female) to be used toward college or continuing education in fall 2019.  

Eligibility Requirements

Qualifying applicants need to be:

  • graduating senior who has been with the Liverpool FC Michigan/Force Football Club for at least three years; 
  • cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher;
  • currently registered on a Central site team and in good financial standing with the club.

  • Short Essay - Describe how soccer has impacted your life.

  • High School Transcript

  • List of Achievements, Honors, Special Recognition from high school years (e.g., athletic, academic, or community)

Servant Leadership Scholarship

Presented by the Amezcua Family In Honor of Roberto Amezcua

$1,000 to one male recipient  // $1,000 to one female recipient

This scholarship will be awarded to two of the club’s graduating seniors (one male and one female) to be used toward college or continuing education in fall 2019.  

Eligibility Requirements

Qualifying applicants need to be:

  • a graduating senior with a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher;
  • currently registered on a Central site team and in good financial standing with the club.

  • List of Achievements, Honors, Special Recognition from high school years (e.g., athletic, academic, or community)
