Jake grew up in Shelby Township, Michigan, where he played for various local clubs. Throughout high school, he played for Vardar’s DA team. After having multiple standout seasons, he was invited to multiple U.S. national team combines and camps.
After high school, Jake committed to the University of Michigan where he would continue his soccer career for the next four years. He received numerous awards such as Academic All Big-Ten, U-M Athletic Academic Achievement, Big Ten Athletics Distinguished Scholar, and University Honors three out of the four years. During his freshman season, the team won the regular season Big Ten Championship. Throughout his time at university, he also played for the renowned Flint City Bucks under Andy Wagstaff. He also made appearances for Detroit City F.C. after his time at Michigan.
In regards to coaching, Jake began his career at De La Salle collegiate as an assistant coach in 2021. In 2022, he was the first assistant and goalkeeper coach for the boys and girls programs at Stoney Creek High School. In 2023, he led the girls side to a State Championship while having numerous players receive various accolades.
He was announced Boy’s Varsity Head Coach of Cranbrook Kingswood High School in the fall of 2024.
In addition, he is also currently serving as an assistant and goalkeeper coach at Saginaw Valley State University, who compete in the GLIAC Conference.
