Alan Zakaria
LFC CENTRAL COACH

Alan grew up in Bloomfield Hills and was a student-athlete on the men’s soccer team at the University of Michigan. After completing his playing career, he transitioned into coaching at the club and high school levels, including six years with the Bloomfield Force Soccer Club.
Alan has served as an assistant and head coach of multiple high school programs, including as girls head coach at Berkley High School and, since its opening in 2013, Bloomfield Hills High School. He has won two state championships as an assistant coach (Bloomfield Hills Lahser High School and East Lansing High School) and a 2022 Division I MHSAA State Championship as head coach, alongside numerous district and regional championships.
In addition to coaching, Alan is a board-certified physician in Internal Medicine, Pediatrics, and Sports Medicine, with a private practice in Troy, Michigan. He is a United States Soccer Federation Network Physician and has traveled internationally as a team physician with the U.S. Futsal National Team, the U.S. U-18 Women’s National Team, and the U.S. U-20 Men’s National Team. He also serves as the team physician for the University of Michigan men’s and women’s soccer programs.
