Ian Jones

Ian grew up in North Wales playing in local youth leagues. Whilst playing as a junior he was asked to represent his county. From their he was selected to represent North Wales Schoolboys and had trails to play for Wales. During this time Ian had offers to join numerous professional Academies and chose to join Wrexham F.C. Ian played for their youth academy for four years. After being released by Wrexham, Ian continued to play and represented the University of Bedford whilst pursuing his academic pathway. During this time Ian developed a passion to coach deciding to gain experience and qualifications to pursue as a career. Ian has more than 20 years of youth coaching experience in Michigan youth soccer.

• USSF B License
• UEFA B License
• BSC Sports and Exercise Science

What does it mean to represent Liverpool FC:

I have been an avid Reds fan since a small boy and it will be an honor to represent this great club.  The player- centric philosophy can only  help propel all players who play for the club to become a better individual players and improve all teams .
