Daire has a distinguished background in soccer, having played at an elite level with Cork City in Ireland. His team competed in the UEFA Youth League U19s, facing formidable opponents such as AS Roma.
He moved to America to play for Davenport University for five years and captained the team for four years. The five years playing at DU came with a lot of success from a collective and individual standpoint: 1 GLIAC Tournament, 1 GLIAC League Conference and he earned five GLIAC conference awards throughout his career there. He also spent his summers playing soccer in the NPSL and USL League 2 and gained Team of the Year awards three times.
His coaching journey began in 2018 with the Michigan Rangers, where he acquired a wealth of experience in youth soccer across various age groups, both male and female. Under the guidance of Stu Collins, Director of Coaching at Michigan Rangers, and Coach Hughes at Davenport University, he refined his coaching skills and gained invaluable insights into player development and mentorship.
Currently, he is an Assistant Coach with the Oakland University Men’s Soccer Program, as well as coach for the ODP 2008 boys’ team in Michigan.
He holds a Master of Business Administration from Davenport University.
