Andy is from Dublin, Ireland, and started his soccer career at a young age with a club called Wayside Celtic FC, playing from U10’s through to U18’s. He went on to represent the men’s senior teams from the age of 16. Following trials, in the UK a serious knee injury ended his playing career but that ignited his love of coaching and he went on to gain a diploma in sports and leisure management.
He continued to work and coach in many different sports arenas but it was his love of soccer that encouraged him to establish and manage his own soccer club in Dublin called the Sandyford Rovers F.C. While playing in the United Churches League, the Rovers started out in the lowest division, 3b and 8 years, 4 league titles, 1 Shield success, and a 26 game unbeaten title-winning session, he handed over the reins in Division 1.

What does it mean to you to represent LFC:
“As a lifelong Liverpool FC supporter, it is a great honor to represent such a historic club. Growing up, studying players like Kenny Dalglish, Ronnie Whelan, Robbie Flower, and Steven Gerard makes it even more of a privilege to coach “The Liverpool Way” and help develop not only the player but the person as well. Being part of the Liverpool family here in Michigan, I am looking forward to developing relationships within the club and community, as well as teaching and coaching Liverpool F.C.’s core values, it’s going to be an exciting journey!”
