Scholarships for College-Bound Players
Liverpool FC Michigan is pleased to offer the following scholarship opportunities to its graduating seniors. If you are interested in applying for one or both scholarships, please review the application deadline and requirements, then complete the application at the link above. Applicants are not required to play soccer in college to be eligible for scholarship.
Player(s) will be notified at their team banquet when chosen as winner. Liverpool FC Michigan will send scholarship monies to the bursar’s office at the college or university selected by the winning recipient to be used in the upcoming school year.
Dan O’Shea Memorial Scholarship
In loving memory of our dear friend, colleague and former Force FC coach and administrator, Dan O’Shea, who died suddenly in 2017. Dan was very active in the soccer community and was well known for his broad smile and endearing personality. Dan touched many lives and inspired many people.
Rising Red Scholarship
This scholarship honors an LFC Michigan player who shows outstanding character, leadership, and love for the game. Inspired by Liverpool FC’s values, it recognizes a player who leads by example, uplifts teammates, and reflects the spirit of “You’ll Never Walk Alone.”
This award celebrates both on-field promise and off-field impact—supporting a true Rising Red who represents the heart of our club.
SCHOLARSHIP CRITERIA
Applicants must meet the following criteria for eligibility:
- Active Player: Must be a current senior player with Liverpool FC International Academy Michigan and been in the club for at least 3 years.
- Exemplary Character: Demonstrates integrity, sportsmanship, and leadership on and off the field. Respected by coaches, teammates, and the community.
- Team Contribution: Shows consistent commitment to team success—whether through hard work in training, support of teammates, or a positive presence at games and events.
- Academic Effort: Maintains good academic standing of 3.0 GPA and displays a strong work ethic in the classroom.
- Club Engagement: Participates in club events, gives back through volunteering, mentoring, or other community activities tied to LFC IA Michigan.
- “You’ll Never Walk Alone” Spirit: Embodies the spirit of ambition, commitment, dignity, and unity that defines the Liverpool FC ethos.

Only Seniors are eligible for this scholarship. IF YOU ARE NOT A CLUB MEMBER, please do not apply as we will not respond.
