Building Resilient Minds
September 2024: In June, we announced our partnership with the mental performance training company Aim-For and its founder, Lee Richardson. Lee has extensive experience in English professional football and has been Liverpool Football Club’s First Team Sport Psychologist since 2019.
We are pleased to begin our work with Lee and his team to implement their Mental Performance Training program across the club. This program provides players with the opportunity to develop a growth mindset and focus on performance improvement and well-being. These resources and tools are included in your club fees and are available throughout the season at no additional cost.
Key Program Highlights:
- 4 Pillars Track & The Soccer Mindset Course: Players will develop essential mental performance skills.
- Coaches’ Development: Our coaches will enhance their skills through the Coach Mindset program.
- Webinars: Lee Richardson will host webinars for parents, players, and coaches.
- The Safety Net Platform: Players will access a resource for emotional support and resilience, used by top organizations like the PFA, FA, EPL & EFL.
We’re also pleased to introduce Alissa “Roo” Niazy as our local Aim-For Liaison and Mental Training Consultant. Roo, who is a coach at our Central site, holds a Master’s in Sports Psychology and will work directly with the Aim-For team in England, as well as lead workshops locally with our players.
Coaches have already started implementing and discussing these mental training exercises in order to help players get better acquainted with the ideas.
We believe this program offers significant benefits to our staff and players and is unique to our club. We are excited to bring this to our LFC families.
